Colonial Secretary's Office,

Hongkong, 8th. February, 1911.
Dear Sir Francis Piggott,
* 3
.1
In reply to your note to me of the 27th.
ultimo, His Excellency the Governor requests me to say:-
(1) that proportionate payment will be made on the
completion of each volume:
(2) that there is no objection to your proposal that
in the event of your leaving the Colony you should arrange for the completion of the revision work to the satisfaction of the Government:
in (3) that the unfortunate event of your not living to complete the revision, the Government would make its own arrangements for completing the work and it is suggested that, in that case the Attorney- -General should decide what portion of the sum payable by Government should go to your estate and what portion to the new revisor.
Yours etc.,
(Sd.) C. Clementi.
