Alexandra Buildings,

Hongkong,

September 11th., 1911.

Mr. F. Howell has been under my care since

During the past three years he has had to

be kept under more close observation owing to attack/of Tachscardia accompanied by intense headaches and nervous prostra-

-tion.

When an attack comes on he is quite unfit

for duty. These attacks have been more frequent this year and he

has been laid up no less than five times.

In addition he gets occasional attacks of malignant Tertian Malarial Fever which considerably agravates

his condition.

I have advised him, if it can be arranged,

not to stay here through another summer.
