Despatch No. 60 of the 23rd. of February last approving of a
new scheme of classification of the Engineering Staff in Hong-
-kong and requesting me to suggest a rate of salary and duty
pay for the posts of First and Second Assistant Directors of
Public Works.
2.
I consider that these appointments will
be adequately paid as follows:-
First Assistant Director of Public Works:-
£690 - £780 by £30 triennially, with Duty Pay of
£75.
Second Assistant Director of Public Works:-
£690 - £750 by £30 triennially, with Duty Pay of
£75.
Mr. A. F. Churchill prefers to retain his present salary of
£720 - £810 by £45 triennially and Mr. H. P. Tooker naturally
