REGE 22 SEP 11
ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CHAMBERS,
Hongkong... 28th. August,
19A
Report on Ordinance No.. 25.... of 1911 .
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled
"An Ordinance to further amend the Crown
Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900".
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions,
17306/
Sections 2, 3 and 4 of the Ordinance are introduced because H. M. Secretary of State for the Colonies has, in despatch- es dated respectively the 13th. January and the 11th. May, 1911, advised that the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance, 1900 should be amended by some express provision being made as to arbitrations' fecs.
Section 5 of the Ordinance is to bring the rate of interest in the Colony into uniformity with the rate under other Ordinances.
Section 6 of the Ordinance puts straight the amend- ments in Ordinance No.10 of 1900 intended, but (owing to errors in drafting) not affected by Ordinance No.16 of 1910,
Attorney General.
