The following rules concerning half-pay leave are additional to those set out in the Colonial Office Regulations and apply to all officers who have joined the service since the lst. of January, 1912, and to all other officers who may desire to come under them. At the request of any officer who may be eligiole for the grant of any period of half-pay leave under these Rules the Governor may commute the whole or any portion of such half-pay leave into one-half the period of full pay leave provided that the total period of such commuted and uncommuted leave shall not together with any period of vacation leave which may be granted at the same time exceed ten months.
