On behalf of our respective clients (who are all the orners of the premises fronting Reclamation Street, Yau- -ma-ti, other than Ir. H. J. D. Stephens, the owner of Nos. 132, : 134, and 136, who is acting independently) and in pursuance of Section 12 of Ordinance llo. 39 of 1909, we have the honour to enclose particulars of the alleged injurious affecting referred to in that Section and to intimate that our clients' claims in tespect thereof amount to the sum of $276,265 in the event of existing adjoining levels not being so altered as to necessitate the re-erection of our clients' premises. If, however, such re- -erection is necessitated such claim will amount to the sum of $481,265.
We have to add that, in accordance with the provisions of the above section, our clients are prepared to adduce evidence in support of their claims on due notice in that benalf.
