With reference to the proposed reclamation in front of

Kowloon Marine Lots Nos. 29, 30 and 31 I have the honour to

inform you that the Government now proposes to proceed with

the matter and I am therefore directed to ask you to be good

enough to attend at a meeting of the owners of the lots in

question to be held at the Land Office on Monday the 23rd

December instant at 12 o'clock for the purpose of considering

the question of appointing assessors and an umpire to determine

the amount of compensation to be paid to the owners of the

lots in question.

I may add that it is proposed that the Hon. the

Director of Public Works should represent the Government as

assessor and that the owners should at the meeting nominate

their assessor and that the Acting Chief Justice Mr.Justice

Wise should Act as umpire if required.
