19th. January, 1910, I have the honour to submit a revised site

plan of the University and out-buildings,

2.

You will observe that this plan includes

a new site measuring approximately 31,000 Square Feet for the

Principal's House on a spur immediately above the playing

ground. The site for this building shewn on the plan which

accompanied my Despatch above quoted was unanimously condemned

by a Committee consisting of myself, Sir F. H. May, Mr. W.

Chatham and Mr. A. W. Brewin which met Mr. A. Bryer the

Architect on the ground on 30th. December last, and the present

site was then chosen for its central commanding and cool

position. It has been so arranged as not to interfere with pro-

-jected scheme for filter-beds &c., and the site though well

adapted
