Sir,

REC?

GOVERNMENT HOUSE,
HONGKONG. 22nd. May, 1911.
for 14.966
In continuation of my Despatch No. 150
of the 22nd. ultimo, I have the honour to forward copies of
letters dated the 21st. ultimo and the 9th. and 17th. instant
which have passed between the Colonial Secretary and Mr. Wei Han.
I am gratified to find that His Excellency the Governor-Gonoral
of the Liang Kuang Provinces has agreed to all my proposals with regard to co-operation in police matters between this Government
and the Canton Authorities, and I am confident that such co-
-operation will materially assist in the suppression of crime
both in this Colony and in the neighbouring Province of China.
It is a great satisfaction to me to resume those measures of co-
-operation and of friendly relations with the Viceroy of Canton which existed during the whole of the time that that office was
held by His Excellency Chang Jen Chun but which were very
temporarily in abeyance during the tenure of office of the late
Viceroy
HE RIGHT HONOURABLE
LEVIS HARCOURT, M.P..
