I have just received four Honour's letter
of this date on this subject, and I shall be obliged if you will be good enough to supply me with a copy of the sun ing up
which you addressed to the jury. Your lionour says t at "the weak point about the prosecution was that there did not 2 pear to be
any reason to suppose that the prisoners took any very active
part in pushing the sale: nor was there any evidence that the
Master of the Shop was the author of the poetry". In view, how-
-ever of the terms of section 2 of Ordinance 15 of 1907, I do
not understand why proof of these points was required.
