I have examined the accompanying Ordinance entitled
An Ordinance to correct certain references to previous
Ordinances contained in the Ordinances passed in the years
1902 and 1903

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions,

By the Statute Laws (Revised Edition) Ordinance 1900 a Commissioner
was appointed to prepare a revised edition of the Statute Laws of the
Colony. In making the revision he renumbered several Ordinances. The Re- -vised Edition, which, by virtue of section 11 of Ordinance No. 12 of 1900, is now the sole and only proper Statute Book of the Colony, up to the date of the latest of the Ordinances contained therein, namely up to and in- -cluding Ordinance No. 21 of 1901, was not published until the end of the
year 1903. Consequently several Ordinances published in the years 1902 - 3
refer to earlier Ordinances by what have become, by virtue of the Revision,
wrong numbers. This Ordinance corrects these wrong references.
