of the line enumerated in the following sections of the agreement shall take place at the Station which joins the two sections, (
hereinafter called the Junction Section).
(3). Each Section shall run a Through Express Train
a day, which shall return in the same day. Such train shall here-
-inafter be called the Daily Through Express Train.
(4). Upon arriving at the Junction Station, the engine and the train (?) officials shall be changed, and the engines shall take trains back respectively to Hongkong and Canton.
(5). Each section shall appoint a special official to
be stationed at the Junction Station and be in charge of the through traffic (?). In the absence of such official, his duties
shall be performed by the Section Station Masters.
(6). The Official appointed specially by each Section, or the Station Master, shall enter clearly in a register consist- -ing of the forms prescribed in Schedule A of this agreement the times of arrival and departure of the trains, and shall compare daily the registers for the purpose of verification with that
kept for the same purpose by the official appointed by the other
section or by the Station Master, and shall make a return every
ten days of the through traffic (?) to the Traffic Department; such return must be certified to by the Special Official or by the Station Master. No erasures, alteration, cancellation or addition is allowed to be made in the Register except by the Speci -al Official or the Station Master, and with a red pen, and such
must be initialled by that officer.
(7). All classes of vehicles, after being delivered by
one section to the other shall be under the control of that
other section, which shall pay rent for them by the hour, accord-
-ing to the rate laid down in Schedule B of this agreement;
full and empty vehicles shall pay rent at the fixed rate.
(8). Each Section shall prepare its om table of fares
and freight charges, and shall deliver one copy of the table
