It has been necessary to remove the above lot which is on the line of proposed approach road to the Japanese Cemetery at Soo Kun Poo (see tracing No. 1). There is a substantial cow house built of stone and wood with tiled roof at present on the area containing about a dozen and a half animals all well kept and in a cleanly condition.
The owner informed me that she paid $800 to rebuild the cow-house about five years ago.
As there is no suitable site available in the vicinity and it is not advisable to allow permanent buildings on an annual lease, I suggested to the owner that she should remove the present building and take up another site in Tai Hang Village on 8. 75 years lease. She agrees to this but would like to increase the area of the lot from 90' x 30' equals 2,700 square feet to 60' x 60' equals 3,600 square feet as she has not enough room at present for her cattle: there is no objection to this and I recommend an exchange of lots on the following terms, viz.:-
(a).
The lessee to surrender her existing lease of I. L. 1519 and remove the cow-shed within one month of accept- -ance of terms.
(b).
The lessee to be granted an area of 3,600 square feet as shown coloured red on tracing No. 2 attached for the term of 75 years commencing from date mentioned in (a).
