Clerk in charge of the Money Order Office at Kowloon, his work
has been performed by Messrs. Sirdar Khan and Hashan Khan the
only available Indian Officers capable of undertaking this duty
as well as performing their own duties.
I beg to recommend that half of the lapsing
salary Viz.:- $45 per month, be granted to the above Officers
from the 27th. December, and the other half lapse to the Govern-
-ment. These officers have shared the work between then taking
turns alternately when not travelling to and from Singapore on
mail sorting. They have performed speciel duties and have had large sums of money passing through their hands and have worked
extra hours.
