no further remark beyond the Instructions of 1/1/09 appears to be necessary. But as the *nearer age (and similarly as to the carda)
seems to have been misapprehended, I instance an example. The Valuation is on the 31/12/08; the wife was born on the 6/7/42; hence the nearer
age at the Valuation is 1908-1842 = 66 as this is nearer to the 31/12/08 than her age at the birth- day on the 6/7/09. She was born on the 25/5/42;
her nearer age to the Valuation is 1909-1842 =67
as this is nearer to that date than her age at
the birthday in 1908.
