Instruction 21.As to members contributing upon the basis of
Superannuation Pension I am not sure whether Instruction 21 has
been observed, but it might be carefully checked.
With reference to the Schedules furnished by Hong Yong
as to Widows and Crphans now on the Fund I have made several
red ink corrections and I would suggest that entirely new
Schedules are prepared, but that the old ones are returned at
the same time in order that I may make the necessary comparison
and correct the particulars already extracted. In these
Schedules the "nearer", ages of the Orphans should be furnished.
Several (about 12] cards of members who have withdravn
have the amounts paid to the 31st December 1908 inserted
for example - Carde Nos. 196,248,615,etc., Is there still any
liability for the Fund for refund or other payment, or were these
inserted by mistake. ?
In the cases of commited pensione and cases where the
Widow in receipt of pension has died or re-married, without
children, before the 31st December 1900 it is assured that
the Fund is no longer concerned in any way with these members as
regards the alteration of scale, so that the cards are norely
required for the mortality experience.
It might be pointed out where a reduction of mension
has taken place on account of the cessation or diminution in
the contribution that the reduction of the black ink figures
of the Pension should be taken in the way more favourable to
the member.
With regard to the valuation of the Vidovers' interests
the particulars of the dates of birth and death of the deceased
and of the pension steated
rife should be inserted in the cards. They might be inserted in
A
red ink.
