Sir,

With reference to the statement in the letter from this

Department of the 20th ultimo (17724/10), that from 1st

January 1911 "the Wei-hai-Wei Agency should

pass into

the control of the Imperial Post Office" and to your Report

of the 7th instant (424904/10), I am directed by the Lords

Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury to say that They have

no objection to this control being exercised temporarily through the Postmaster General of Hong Kong, acting as your

Agent, and that They accordingly concur in the request which

you propose to address to the Colonial Office on the subject.
