Enclosure in No 1.

The Earl of Crewe to the Government of India,

(Telegraphic.) P.

Indio Office, November 7, 1910. PLEASE refer to telegram, dated 5th November, from His Majesty's chargé d'affaires at Peking, repeated to Burmah Government, relating to Burmah-China frontier. It is very desirable that departure of Hertz should be expedited. I should be glad to know when he starts. There can and will, it is presumed, be considerable reduction of the six weeks allowed for reaching Pien-ma in the provisional itinerary.
