Sir: -
In view of the rapidly growing production of Sugar in
Formosa, owing to the help given by the Japanese Government,
it is more than likely that imports of Formosan Sugar into Hong
Kong will be attempted on a rather large scale ere long. I
would, therefore, esteen it a favour, if you would let me
know, whether in your opinion the terms of the Brussels
Convention would allow such imports.

thanking you in anticipation.
