With reference to my confidential.
despatch of the 23rd of September 1909 I
K.C..G. have the honour to inform you that &c.
as the result of further correspondence
between the Colonial Office and the
Treasury, it has been arranged that es from
the 1st of January 1911 the Government of
liong Kong will be relieved of all financial
responsibility for the maintenance of the
Postal Agencies in China (inclucing that
st Beihaiwei).
I enclose for your information
a copy of a letter from the Treasury
indicating the arrangements which it is
proposed to make for the future control
of the Agencies.
