The Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury
have had under consideration Mr. Cox's letter of the 24th February last (4757/1910) and the accompanying copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong with regard to the disposal of the balance of a Fund for providing Quarters for Nursing Sisters and the payment of military contribution
thereon.
In reply I am to state for the information of the Earl of Crewe and with the concurrence of the Army Council to whom the question has been referred, that as this fund was created from revenue on which military contribution had already been paid, My Lords see no objection to the balance now proposed to be transferred to the general revenue of the Colony, being excluded from the sum on which the military contribution will be calculated.
