Arles,

Carlow,

29 November 1910.

Gentlemen,

I beg leave to bring under your notice that

I was anxiously expecting some little compensation for the loss of my Son, as I was legally informed I was entitled to some he having died from the effects of heat stroke while on duty, also having his jawbone broken previously while in the execution of his duty, but I would rather far leave my case in your hands.

Mine indeed has been a sad one, having my three dear Sons buried so far away. I humbly thought from my late Son's letter his effects should have realised more than £ s a 4.3.2. I am now a desolate widow who got very little information about their effects or death, but trust to your kind consideration that this may be a happy Christmas for me through your good influence.

I a, Gentlemen,

Your Obedient Servant,

CA.
