I have the honour to transmit for the informa-
3th June 10. tion of the Secretary of State a letter we have re-
ceived from Mr. D. Brennan, a Constable in the Hong Kong Police force, tendering his resignation of his appointment on the grounds of ill health.
2. A passage has been provided for Mr. Brennan to Hong Kong by the $/S."Marmora" sailing from London on the 17th of June, but we are taking steps to have it cancelled and a claim in respect of the unused ticket
will be made on the Steamship Company.
3. We have to request the Secretary of State's
instructions in this matter.
