With reference to my Despatch
No. 122 of the 14th. of last April, I have the homur to
forward the enclosed copy of a minute by the Director of
Public Works, dated the 13th. instant and to recommend
that gratuities of $500 and $175 should be granted to
Messrs. P. Julyan and A. Souza respectively as remuneration
for the additional work thrown upon them during Mr. D.
Wood's absence on leave.
