I have the honour to call your attention to the case

) a Chinese born naturalized citizen of the United States whose present position has been brought to the attention of thie Consulate General.

This office has been informed by telephone upon en- quiry of the Superintendent of Police that the above named per- son has been banished by His Excellency the Officer Administer- ing the Government from the colony of Nankangx Hongkong.

While there is ro disposition on our part to ques- tion the action of the colonial government in this matter it is desirable that this office be furnished with the reason of the government for its action in the premises.
