My Lord,

I have the honour to forward the

enclosed copy of a minute dated the 12th. instant from the

Attorney-General and to recommend that Counsel engaged by

this Government to conduct prosecutions on behalf of the

Attorney-General at the Criminal Sessions should be paid

a fee of $25.00 for each case which they conduct. I learn

that Mr. C. G. Alabaster would be quite content with that

fee and I may point out that when both Judges are sitting

there is no other Court work for Counsel to do.
