Before dealing with the Estimates

for next year, I propose briefly to sum up the financial

situation.

In the financial statement

accompanying the Estimates for 1910 the estimated balance

of Assets over Liabilities on the 31st. December, 1909, Wes

shown as $1,350,108. This estimate was more than realized,

the sum actually booked, according to the statement now

enclosed, being $1,353,169. According to the Revised

Estimates for 1910 ordinary and extraordinary revenue is

expected to yield $6,908,069 or $728 less than was expected.

A saving of $45,062 is anticipated on the total expendi-

-ture for the current year which was originally estimated

at $6,951,542. These estimates if realized will result in a

credit balance on the 31st. December, 1910, of $1,589

which added to the balance of Assots accrued on the 31st.

December, 1909, will give a balance of Assets on the

31st. December, 1910, increased to $1,354,

758.
