I have the honour to acknowledge your letter

I quite agree that some of my suggestions

would involve additional Staff. But the control of the Police

prosecutions is a matter of greatest importance, and I should be much obliged if when forwarding my letter to the Secretary of State you would add a copy of the letter I wrote on the subject

some time ago.

In this case no addition to the Staff

would be required; it would affect only the selection of the

Staff.
