Detailed Import Manifest to be handed in by Junks on entering.
This manifest should take the form of a duplicate of the
export manifest which must be presented on clearing from
a Chinese Customs Station. The duplicate manifest to be
certified as correct by the Officer of the Customs Station.

A Junk clearing from a port in the Colony for abroad should
hand in export manifest in duplicate. The manifest should
be retained at the Harbour Office and the duplicate should
be sent to the Kowloon Customs Office for transmission to
the Chinese Customs Station where the junk must call, the
duplicate will be checked with export manifest handed in
by the Junk and returned to the Harbour Office. (page 26.)
Junks arriving from, or leaving for places outside Customs
control to hand in correct manifests.
Statistics of Cargo carried by Steamers.
(1). Sub-section 11 of Section 37 =Êxami¤$entiææxt and Sub-
-section 2 of Section 22 of the Merchant Shipping
Ordinance to be amended so as to provide that within
18 hours of arrival a complete Import Manifest of the
cargo on board shall be furnished; with marks and
numbers (if any) on packages; number of packages;
contents of packages, weight value and destination of
each package, 1.0. whether for Hongkong or other
Ports. (page 59.)
(2). As regards the particulars and value of goods arriving by
Coasting Steamers full particulars can be obtained
by the co-operation of the I. M. Customs.
