This Permit is good for one month for Junks
of over 100 piculs capacity and for six months for crafts
under 100 piculs.
It is easy to perceive what great advantages
a Fishing Junk, provided with these three documents, has over
all other bona fide traders.
It is my xxxiix opinion that in addition to the
issue of the Junk Certificate of Registry Fishing Junks and such
other boats that engage in fishing should have their Registry
number Branded on the Tabernacle and stem-post, the same as
Trading Junks, and the number of the Fishing Licence should
be painted in large figures right across their sails and also
in large figures on each side of the hull (in the centre).
No Fishing Junk is to engage in trade nor carry
any cargo. When the fishing season is over and such junk is
required for trading purposes, the Certificate of Registry
embodying the Fishing Licence is to be surrendered to the
Harbour Master's Office or to the Subsidiary Station for the
necessary cancellation of the Fishing Licence and the issue
of the Trading Licence, No Refund of Allowance of any kind
should be entertained for unexpired licepces that are
surrendered.
