forward the enclosed copy of a letter from the Crown Agents

for the Colonies dated the lat. ultimo and to suggest

Jones from Hongkong to London per S. 8. *Sardinia" should

be paid direct by the Government of the Gold Coast Colony

or otherwise as Mr. Jones was not entitled to a free

passage from this Government. In this connection I would

refer also to Your Lordship's telegram of the 19th. of

last April.
