in point of service of the two Officers. Failing Mr.
Bowley and Mr. Kemp I recommend the appoint of Mr. Wakeman.
If Your Lordship decides to appoint him, I recommend that
Mr. Jacks, Assistant Land Officer, be appointed Land Officer
and that an Assistant Land Officer who should be a
Solicitor well qualified in conveyancing be appointed in
Mr. Jacks's place. I enclose the usual paper of particu-
-lars.
