My Lord,
I have the honour to forward for
Your Lordship's information the enclosed copy of a letter
from the Registrar-General, dated the 12th. of last May and
Condosure 1.

of a report by the Chief Detective Inspector, dated the
24th. of last June. In view of these reports I caused
Mr. Young Hee to be informed that I should be prepared to
accept his resignation which he accordingly tendered on
the 1st. ultimo in preference to meeting the charges be-
-fore the Executive Council. He subsequently addressed a
second letter of the same date, copy enclosed, to which the
reply of the 5th. July was sent. This letter was answered
by Mr. Young Hee's letter of the 6th. July.
