copy of a letter addressed

the Hongkong Law Society together with the copy of a letter

from Mr. M. J. D. Stephens who is the Senior Solicitor in the

Colony but does not belong to the Law Society.

I wish the Government to understand that I

am not actuated by any personal motives against the Crow Solicitor but I am acting at the request of a very consider-

-able number of the Solicitors in the Colony.

Our only desire is that the Government

should rectify what we consider to be a very real grievance.
