fact that the detailed reports of Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Willians are

Strong. I am half inclined to think there

has been a tendency to favour this subject at the expense of

others.

Handwriting.

Unsatisfactory: the bigger boys seemed to

take no pride in neatness of written work. I believe the reason

for the poorness of the writing exists in the fact that, unlike

the Assistants at K.S., neither Mrs. Morris and Miss Rutter

writes a good copperplate black-board hand. The essays I for-

-ward are much neater than similar ones done at the beginning

of the month.
