I most respectfully beg to report that on
the 6th., 8th. and 10th. instant 5 Sikh Policemen have been
patrolling round the boundary of Sha Tau Kok, in British Territory (and also on the beach in front of the station but
below the high water mark, which I believe is British Terri- -tory). As the patrolling on their part is likely to continue
and in case anything should crop up beg to ask for instruction
for future guidance.
The above patrolling is, I believe, owing
to the importation of Shamshu into British Territory being
prohibited.
