3. (1) Certain firme have claimed for refund of duty on beer having been found unfit for consumption after several months importation
(duty paid). Such refund cannot now be allowed. Claim may be entertained when made at once and the Superintendent is satisfied
by careful examination that the liquid actually arrived here unfit
for consumption or went bad in bond or in licensed warehouses. If
allowed, the bad liquor should be destroyed in presence of an officer. (2) Section 22 of Ordinance No.27 deals with deficiency of dutiable
liquors in & Kings or Licensed Warehouse and I submit the addition
that claim for refund or loss or breakage shall not be entertained unless satisfactory evidence can be produced under the following
regulations : -
1.- That declarations be duly made to the Imports and
Exports Office within three days after the unloading
