registers kept is out of due proportion but I have carefully looked into this and the only suggestion that may be made for next year, or until such time as the present books are used up, is to combine two pages into one see Form No. thus reducing the volume of each register and this will also facilitate the bookksspere work; several firms transactions may also be kept in one book. The issue of Licenses for licensed warehouses remaining unlimited the book-keeping work will increase accordingly.

The Registers of Wine and Liquor Bonded in licensed ware- houses now in use are of 350 double pages and will probably last well into the year 1911. The new supply should be according

to the form attached to this report. Each register to have 200 single pages only of good strong but cheaper quality paper and the binding need only be strong and plain.

F. - Remarks and Suggestions.

In order to check as much possible the declarations made

on importations by applicants, original invoices and Bills of

Lading should be presented with Requisitions (Forms No.1, 2 & 3

of ordinance). The keeper of Kings Warehouses may be exempted

from this rule as they bond without invoices but all removals thence either for import (duty paid) or removal to a licensed

warehouse should be accompanied by original invoices, this

chiefly applies to European Wines and liquor.
