Duties of office, and qualifications required for their performance.
Overseer on the construction of new Government Buildings & other works, including large Public Offices, Markets, Police Stations, the construc- tion of roads, large storm-water channels, &0. The duties include the supervision of works, suc as those mentioned, the taking of measurements of work, where necessary, & furnishing any sket ches which may be required in connection with them. A man with practical training, preferably as a carpenter or bricklayer, is required..
Salary and emoluments, and whe- ther secured by a permanent law.
| £240. voted annually. $15 per month travel- 1ing allowance. In the event of the officer appointed being retained after the expiry of his Agreement, his salary will be increased to £255 and, after a further period of 3 years, to £270.
