Hon. Colonial Secretary,
I take it that the 'Consulting Practice'
to which I am entitled admits of my seeing patients in my
consulting room.
I propose taking such a room in the Central
portion of the town where I could be consulted and I undertake
that this shall not interfere with the performance of my duties
as Principal Civil Medical Officer,
All consultants 'at home' see patients in
their consulting rooms and I know that the P.C.M.0. at Ceylon
does so.
Of course I should not see residents in
their houses unless in conjunction with their ordinary medical
attendant.
(sa.) J. H. Atkinson,
Principal Civil Medical
Officer.
