I have the honour to bring to the notice of
Government certain increases which have taken place in my
duties and responsibilities since I first accepted my present
appointment nine years ago, and to base thereon an application
for an increase of salary.
The only increases I have had have been (a)
my two stipulated increments of $300 a year after three years
(b) a temporary allowance of $50 a month for eight months in the
year for controlling the Technical Institute, (c) an allowance
of $300 annually for controlling Queen's College is in lieu
of the fee of $300 formerly given to the Head of the Education Department (but not as of right) in his capacity of one of the
Independent Examiners of the College.
The increase in the work and responsibility
which has taken place since I was appointed Inspector of Schools
can be conveniently shewn in parallel colurns.
