COLONIAL SECRETARY'S OFFICE,
HONGKONG,
2nd. April, 1910.
190
The Colonial Secretary presents his com-
-pliments to the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, and is directed to request that the following corrections ray be
made in the Governor's Despatch No. 100 of the 23rd. March, 1910, viz.:- (1) that the end of the 2nd.line of paragraph 2 the word "no" may be inserted. This line will then read:-"Since
the return from leave of Mr. J. W. Lee-Jones on the 5th. of
January there has been no lapsing pay available".
(2) that in the last line of the first part of the same paragraph, the figures "$3,600" may be altered to "460"
as Mr. Melbourne is on a sterling not on a dollar salary. This
line will then read; "the half salary of Mr. Melbourne, Deputy
Registrar and Appraiser, who is drawing £460 per annum will be
available".

The Under Secretary of State for the Colonies,
