For Section 5 (2) of 22 of 1909, substitute

(2). Revocation in the United Kingdom of Letters

Patent granted there shall not affect the revocation of any

Letters Patent granted in Hongkong for the same invention.

In sub-section (3) for "plaintiff" substitute

"applicant for revocation*.

(there is no plaintiff to a petition.)

and at the end of the Sub-section add

"and if such revocation is applied for on grounds

"similar to those specified in Section 27 of the Act

"of the Imperial Parliament 7 Edward VII cap. 29 ("The

"Patents and Designs Act, 1907") the applicant shall

"he required to satisfy the Court that the patented

"article or process is manufactured or carried on

*exclusively or mainly outside the United Kingdom and

"Hongkong, and thereupon the Court shall have powers

"similar to those vested in the Comptroller by Sub-

"-sections 2 and 3 of the said Section 27, such Sub-

*-sections being read as if the words "or Hongkong"

*were inserted after the words "United Kingdom"

"wherever the latter occur".
