(C.R.E.905-P) with some figures regarding the cost of the
principal works (Tunnel &c.) in order that he might have some
facts and figures to put forward if the Chinese complained
of the excessive cost of the British Section. I said I would be
glad to give him a copy of this map. A similar map,
and a
statement of capital cost showing the outlay on principal works
would form an attachment to the Working Agreement. He said they
on their part would soon be ready to supply a similar statement,
as soon as they had evolved it from the chaos left by Butler-
-Wright.
