I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt
of your letter of the 22nd. ultimo, and to inform you that Kr.~-~-
Sinnott, Chief Tarder (2nd. class) in Victoria Gaol was reported
to have been drunk and incapable when on duty on the 6th, ~
ultimo and that on the charge being proved against him I
directed that he should be reduced to the rank of Principal
Warder (not dismissed as assumed in M. Placzek's letter).
On the 2nd. instant viz.:- subsequent to

the receipt of your letter Mr. Sinnet was again reported to be
under the influence of liquor when he paraded for duty at 5.45
p.m. and in these circumstances I have been obliged to dismiss
him from Government Service.
