With reference to my Despatch
No. 155 of the 7th. June, 1909, I have the honour to for-
-ward for Your Lordship's information the enclosed table
showing the total quantities of Raw, Prepared and Dross
Opium, Opium Dross, Morphia and Compounds of Opium seized
by the Opium Farmer and the amount of the fines imposed by
the Police Magistrate in respect of such seizures for the
period from the 25th. March, 1908, to the 31st.December,
1909, 1.e. since the Government of China gave a pledge
that it would suppress the illicit export of prepared
opium from China to Hongkong.
