sir,
I wish to be considered a candidate for the port of Bacterio- logist to the Hong Kong Governant rondered vacant by the death of my late Senior Officer, Dr. Hunter.
I should prefer the post on the same terms as it was held by
Dr. Hunter.
I think however, that the Hong Kong Government wish to econo- aise in the matter. I should therefore like to offer my services for a salary of Three Hundred Pounds per annum and private practice in Bacteriology. By this I mean that I should do, free of further charge, all the duties that the Bactariologist has done in the past for the Government, including the diagnosis of the "notifiable
On the other hand I infectious " diseases for all practitioners. should make no revenue for the Government, but have my own charges
not done or made for
for Bacteriological work, calf lymph etc: the Government,its Medical Officers or Public Vaccinators.
The Government will probably like to restriot me to half the rooms at the Institute buildings and the same staff and votes &A
