As far as I can gather the two principal factors
which have led up to the present inuese oro tho intor-
foronce by the representativos of the Central Governmunt
in the control of the construction and working of the
line and the dissatisfaction felt by an influential body
of shareholdert with the Thgîncor-in-Chief Kaung.
As already reported Tuotai Wong Ping Yuen,
spoolally deputed for the purpose by the Director-Centred,
has for some montha past been engaged in auditing the
Company's accounts. This has naturally entailed some inter-
furence with the local administration of the Company and
has led to considerable friction butwoon the auditor on
un
the one hand and the President and Irinoor-in-Chief
the other hand. The latter have definitely announced their
intention of resigning unless they are given a free hand
in the constructional work of the line, in particular in
the placing of orders for contracts and m.terials.
