I have the honour to report that Sir Chen Tung
Liang Ch'ong K.4.H.G., left here on the 16th. instant for
Poking with the object of tendering to the Director-
General of the line, H.E. Chang thâh Tung, his rusigution
as President of the Canton-Hankow Railway.
The President tekos with him, I understand, the
resignations of the Vice President, Mr. Lo Po thun, and
the hginoor-in-Chief, Mr. Kwang.
The circumstances of Sir Chen Tung Liang Ch'ung's
hurried doparture are explained in an extract from the
*Hongkong Tolograph" of the 19th. instant, copy of which
I have the honour to enclose.
