MEETING OF THE SELF GOVERNMENT SOCIETY TO DISCUSS THE
ACTION TO BE TAKEN WITH REGARD TO THE PORTUGUESE CONSUL.
The Self Government Society held a mass meeting
yesterday in connection with the "Fatshan" case, and the
question of the delimitation of Macao. At one o'clock
preliminary speeches were delivered by Hu Hain Tong, Chan
Wai Po, Wu Kuan T'ing and Tam Shao Pu, in strong conden-
nation of the attitude of the Portuguese Consul and of the
repeated forcible encroachments by the Portuguese of the
boundaries of Macao. There was a large and patriotic
audience.
At 2.30 p.m. the bell opening the meeting was
rung and Messrs Chan Chungwei and Chan Wai Po were elected
to the chair. The speaker was Lo Shao Ao.
The speaker first read the letter addressed
to the Portuguese Consul, which has already been published
in this paper.
